Job Description:

Provide administrative support to department leadership, assist students and faculty. Manage the scheduling process from course authorization, class data entry into database systems, and processing course agreements. May serve as liaison to the public for specific courses. May also create meeting agendas, finalize meeting minutes, and maintain Advisory committee databases. Job Requirements:

  • Greet internal and external customers, in person or via phone and email, and serve as the liaison between the customer and the appropriate individual. Provided administrative support for various College of Business programs. May include scheduling classes (all varieties), maintaining the database system (courses, catalog, etc.), modifying curriculum, instructional delivery, room scheduling and faculty course agreements. Notify departments, instructors and/or students of class changes, cancellation, instructor absences, changes of assignments and/or room changes. Order books and textbooks. Maintain part-time faculty rosters, qualification status, and instructor schedules. Provide administrative support to department leadership. May schedule meetings, prepare correspondence, reports, proposals, brochures, mailings, etc. May attend meetings on behalf of Dean as needed. Arrange for and notify Advisory Committee meetings; maintain member lists, prepare/send agenda, and communicate finalized meeting minutes. Assist students/faculty with class and program structure questions in absence of Dean/Associate Dean/s. May assist in maintaining department and program information; forms, mailing lists, calendars, syllabi, and other files. Assist in special event departmental activities. May serve as liaison for licensing/regulatory classes. Provide information to the internal/external customers and resolve issues. Maintain student records, provide State/National reporting, and distribute certificates as necessary. May prepare/distribute flyers/brochures; maintain flyer/brochure database. May serve as contact for corporate training in set-up of contract courses. SKILLS & ABILITIES Education: Associate Degree in Administrative Assistant, Business, or related degreeExperience: Three years related experience **An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered Cultural Competence: Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and sensitivity to and understanding of a diverse community of college students, faculty, and staff. *NWTC welcomes candidates who currently possess the desired skills and experience and are committed to learning and growing. - Computer Skills Microsoft Office Suite (advanced skills preferred), data management system (PeopleSoft preferred)
