OVERVIEWNEW STARTING PAY:--$31.00/hourWork Schedule:--Monday-FridayWork Hours: 5:00am start time, negotiableUnion Pension and Benefits!----PURPOSERepairs and performs preventative maintenance on trailers, tractors and yard tractors at the DC.-- Responsible for diagnosing and repairing medium to heavy-duty refrigerated trucks and trailers under minimal supervision.----JOB RESPONSIBILITIESPerform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairsAir and hydraulic brake repairsTire repairsWarranty proceduresDriveline, steering, and suspension maintenanceElectrical trouble-shootingAbility to diagnose and repair lift gates, AC, weld and fabricate as needed, and other duties as assignedAssist other mechanics in repairs and will be expected to comply with safety and EPA proceduresWilling to continue to learn additional mechanical duties such as advanced diagnostics, internal engine and transmission repairs----QUALIFICATIONSRequired CertificationsPreventative MaintenanceAnnual DOTAir BrakesAC--Job RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent required21 years of age or older requiredValid Driver's license required2 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repairExperience with refrigeration units required--Job SkillsMust be able to read codes and instructions on the computerMust be able to document repairs on the computerMust possess at minimum a set of hand tools up to (3/4")Ability to work flexible schedules including shift work, weekends, holidays and on-call rotations for roadside assistance------All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
