passionate team members.What You'll Do:The Quality Engineer is
responsible for ensuring all incoming and outgoing manufacturing
parts and products meet quality standards.Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:This list of duties and responsibilities is not
all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and
responsibilities as deemed necessary.Provides technical advice and
guidance to Manufacturing, Engineering, and other internal
stakeholders in order to reduce defect ratesFollows processes and
operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for
obtaining solutionsEnsures the appropriate quality plans are
developed, implemented, and followedDevelops and administers
quality-related project plans and schedulesProvides technical
advice and guidance to suppliers in order to reduce defect
ratesServes as a liaison between vendors and Whisker management to
identify quality issues and develop solutionsReviews and approves
supplier PPAP documentationCreates internal PPAP
documentationResponsible for performing quality engineering tasks
in a timely fashion:Assessing quality plans and product
designsReviewing test and other performance dataAnalyses of market
feedbackPerforms independent technical assessment on product
quality performance and post-market product quality analysisWorks
with Design Team / Product Engineers / Quality Manager to
understand and create quality control objectivesExecutes risk
management activities, product failure rate and reliability
estimationsWill perform additional responsibilities when
requiredRequirements:What You'll Bring:Ability to maintain a
professional atmosphere in a fast-paced environment with numerous
interactions and interruptionsHigh degree of initiative,
self-motivation, and ability to motivate othersAbility to establish
and maintain cooperative working relationships with team members
and colleaguesBachelor's degree in a scientific discipline,
engineering highly preferredExperience independently producing and
completing quality engineering documentsExperience working on
issues of diverse scope where analysis of a situation or of data
requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an
understanding of current business trendsExperience managing quality
engineering milestones for 3-5 new products per yearMaintains
confidentiality of proprietary informationComfortable with office
pets (cats, dogs)Not Required but Nice to Have!Quality Engineering
experience in a high volume production environment, preferably
within consumer electronicsNot required to have pets but highly
recommended!Previous experience in plastic injection molding and
