Job Description:

GENERAL SUMMARY: Responsible for providing leadership to the Engineering Department and be an effective and productive member of the Leadership Team.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Develop manufacturing methods that are competitive
• Provide quotation information that is accurate, on-time and complete.
• Developing the structural design of products, using analytical and finite element analysis tools
• Performing Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis on new products
• Write performance requirements for product development or engineering projects
• Develop customer design proposals and specifications
• Participate with the Sales Team and support acquisition of new business.
• Provide technical customer service.
• Prepares manufacturing information and reports by writing computer programs, entering data, collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends
• Assures production quality by designing testing methods and performing quality tests as required.
• Define manufacturing process capabilities that meet or exceed customer requirements.
• Improves engineering job knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices and participating in professional societies
  QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years' experience
  • Proficient with CAD solid modeling and MathCAD software
  • Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis
