The IT Director is primarily responsible for delivering a reliable and high performing IT department that includes infrastructure, application support, IT security, and all core internal technical operations. This role is responsible for overseeing the information technology infrastructure for the organization as well as supporting the implementation and maintenance of current systems.RESPONSIBILITIES:Has the ability to lead a complex IT organization, while maintaining high standards for customer experience and service delivery.Sets the mission and vision of the IT department to foster a business-oriented culture and mindset.Takes ownership of the overall success of IT, developing the IT vision to meet the current and future needs of the organization.Plans and direct all activities and operations in the Information Technology department.Collaborates with the IT team and necessary leadership team members to publish both a near and long-term IT roadmap, identifying both infrastructure and technical opportunities. Aligns with leadership on IT priorities.Works with key stakeholders to establish and maintain strategic plans for data and information management.Coordinates and oversees strategic IT initiatives and projects including IT Help Desk, IT architecture, infrastructure, IT organizational alignment, and data strategy.Reviews all aspects of the operations of the department to meet company needs, productivity levels, system security, maintenance needs, upgrade schedules, and operating expenses.Leads, coaches, and develops an engaged service-oriented IT team.Evaluates effectiveness, efficiency, and costs of existing technology and systems, research new or alternative solutions, and makes recommendations to senior leadership, as appropriate. This includes the eventual selection and implementation of a new ERP system (Microsoft D365 or other solution TBD).Accountable for overall budget adherence in concert with the IT Manager.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in business, computer science and/or related field or equivalent experience.10+ years of experience in Information Technology and 5+ years in a management role.Solid understanding of infrastructure systems, security, network, and systems administration, databases, and telecommunications systems.Demonstrated understanding working in the Microsoft Technology Stack (Teams, Outlook, Azure, SharePoint, SQL Server, AX, etc.).Proven experience and skills specializing in the configuration and maintenance of Microsoft Windows Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS.Ability to take ownership and coordinate projects from beginning to end, working with various departments and outside organizations effectively.Ability to take ownership of IT voice and vision.Capability to drive decisions through consensus, influence change and effectively resolve conflictsProven success as a team leader driving the right culture, creating expectations of high performance and accountability.Highly motivated; takes initiative without being asked, displays a sense of urgency, and requires minimal oversight.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:People Manager.Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012R3 or D365, a plusProject Management experience, and/or PMP certification.VM ware, Fortinet and Arctic WolfDISCLOSURES:The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
