Tex Tubb's Taco Palace is hiring an Assistant General Manager position. This position pays between $50,000-$55,000/year.Title: The Assistant General ManagerWork Status: ExemptReports to: General ManagerPosition Summary: The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is responsible for assisting the General Manager with the overall operations of the restaurant. Works with all employees in setting the direction of the business day to day operations as well as plan to grow the business, drive sales, manage costs, and ensure proper training for the staff.Essential Functions:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Lead by exampleAssist with interviewing, training, hiring, development, and retention of qualified employeesPromote teamwork among co-workers and employeesBe hands-on with all FOH positions to ensure smooth and efficient serviceAuthorize different transactions (i.E. discounts and voids)Follow-up with employees to ensure completion of assigned projectsAssign employee workstations or sectionsUphold applicable policies and requirements of employment lawsOrganized periodic informational meetings with the FOH team membersSchedule, conduct and document employee reviewsParticipate in shift meetings, staff meal training, and coachingCreate atmosphere including lighting, music and temperature levelsAddress customer frustrations or complaintsUse tact and good judgment when dealing with difficult guestMaintain food and beverage quality and consistencyCommunicate repair and maintenance issues to the General ManagerCheck inventory and order appropriate restaurant supplies when neededAssist the General Manager with all financial aspects of the businessPerform daily bookkeepingCommunicate cordially, effectively and clearly with all employees, managers, Food Fight staff and guestsAccept direction and constructive criticism from managementWrites the FOH schedule and posts 2 weeks in advanceRequirements:Excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills2 or more years of management experienceExperience in leading teams of 15 or more employees is preferredObtain a ServSafe certificate within 90 days of employment.?Other Duties:This is not an all-inclusive list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel so classified.
