• Job Location: 1521 Brookfield Avenue, Green Bay, WI 54313Summary:The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall management of both Production and Maintenance at the manufacturing plant. - Working under the General Manager, the Plant Manager leads the Maintenance and Production Manager(s) and works with key partners in Safety, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Human Resources. - The Plant Manager is responsible for achieving targets for operational safety, quality, service, and cost. - The Plant Manager will ensure strong collaboration at the site, foster a continuous improvement mindset, and maintain the highest possible level of customer satisfaction.Job Duties:The list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
• Oversees area of operation, ensuring employee safety and quality standards are met
• Coordinate Production and Maintenance activities to ensure the manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Explain variances in labor cost and productivity, identify root cause and implement systemic solutions
• Develop and control Production and Maintenance budgets
• Analyze area to resolve any equipment issues and make improvements when needed
• Work with Quality/ R&D develop new products/processes and improve current products/processes
• Establish procedures and supervise all experimental and test runs, reporting all results
• Work with QA to release product according to specifications
• Support QA in BRC, regulatory, and customer audits
• Maintain FDA compliance, HACCP and GMP programs
• Participation in Customer calls, assisting Production Supervisors in new item trials, and supporting R&D testing
• Organize and direct workflow for satisfying production requirement in a cost-efficient manner
• Investigate and analyze new procedures and processes
• Develop cost-effective alternatives and improvements to production process
• Mentor Supervisors with their Continuous Improvement Projects
• Maximize the efficiency/quality of production lines to achieve company KPI's
• All other duties as assignedManager Responsibilities:Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. - Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Additional responsibilities include supporting the Production Supervisors and improving operational efficiencies while maintaining appropriate quality levels.Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, production management, or related field is preferred along with 3-5 years Operational Leadership experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and employees of the organization
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
