provide second line risk oversight of Data Management. The Data
Management Program sets the guidelines for facilitating risk
identification, The Data Governance Manager is responsible for
establishing and leading the data governance strategy and framework
across the organization. This role ensures that data is accurate,
accessible, consistent, and protected. The Data Governance Manager
will work closely with stakeholders from various departments to
implement data policies, standards, and best practices to enhance
data quality and compliance.Are you passionate about how data and

below.As a Data Governance Risk Manager, you will:
- Develop and maintain the Data Management risk governance
process, including development of the Program and supporting
policy, process, and procedures.
- Provide leadership, support, and risk consultation on various
Data Governance initiatives; use of sound risk-based decision
making, experience and judgment in responding to inquiries. Support
regulatory and independent testing liaison activities as related to
Data Governance risk programs.
- Ensure corporate wide communication, reporting and foster a
consistent culture of compliance and collaborative environment
within the first line of defense for an enterprise-wide and
holistic Data Governance program.
- Remain current with Data Management regulatory guidance and
industry best practices as well as emerging risks.
- Coordinate components of select examinations and audits in
accordance with Regulatory Exam Facilitation procedures maintained
by Compliance and ensures that all exam and audit needs are
met.
- Continue the development and implementation of the Data
Governance Framework: Assess current state documentation and assist
with implementing the data governance framework, including
policies, standards, and procedures, to ensure data quality,
integrity, and security.
- Oversee the implementation of a data governance system to
support data lineage, metadata management, and data quality
monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including existing
data governance analysts, data management team and data stewards,
to further define and train on data governance roles and
responsibilities, and promote a culture of data stewardship and
accountability.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for data governance, and
deliver training sessions to educate senior/executive management
stakeholders on data governance concepts and requirements.
- Provide experience and guidance with regulatory heightened
standards in data governance, data privacy, and regulatory
compliance, and ensure that our data governance practices
align.
- Support the bank's data management & transformation program
evolution with serving as a key contact for data governance related
topics.
- Provide guidance and support to lines of business on data
governance matters including but not limited to line of business
system implementations / conversions.
- Assist with coordinating cross-functional area discussions to
address and resolve data governance-related issues and
conflicts.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on
program progress, challenges and areas for improvement including
establishing key performance indicators and key risk indicators for
adequate data governance oversight.
- Assist with serving as a key data governance subject matter
expert with internal audits related to data governance.Education
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and
experience Business Administration, Risk, Information Technology,
Data Science. RequiredExperience
- 4-7 years Technology field, with focus on data management
preferably in risk management. Required
- 7-10 years Technology field, with focus on data management
preferably in risk management. PreferredLicenses and Certifications
- Other Applicable Data Governance certification within 1 year.
