Title Outpatient Therapy Aide- Green Bay Area Description This position will work 30 hrs per week- Schedule as follows: Monday: 7:45a-4:30p Tuesday: 7:45a-4:30p Wednesday: 7:45a-4:00p Thursday: 7:45a-2:00p Friday: off This aide will rotate among the Allouez Peds, East DePere, and Howard clinics. Job Description and Essential Functions Job Title/Position: Physical Therapist Aide Job Classification: Direct Patient Care / Hands-On Patient Care Date of Analysis: 6/11/13 Date of Revision/Review: 5/22/2015, 08/2018 __________________________________________________________________________________________ Brief Description of Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with patient set up and other duties specified by therapy staff.
• Carries out routine operational functions including maintaining treatment and gym areas.
• Modifies specific treatment procedures in accordance with changes in patient status, within the scope of the established treatment plan.
• Performs delegated functions consistent with safe and legal physical therapy practice, predicated on the following factors:
• Complexity and acuity of the patients needs
• Proximity and accessibility to the delegating physical therapist;
• Supervision available in the event of emergencies or critical events.
• Conducts interpersonal relationships in the department on the basis of mutual respect:
• Gives and receives constructive criticism with a positive attitude;
• Collaborates with colleagues in fostering a willingness to become lifelong learners;
• Recognizes and seeks the contributions of the other health team members;
• Positively references other colleagues in written and verbal communications;
• Demonstrates an understanding of and appreciation for the educational preparation and experiential background of other health team members;
• Demonstrates a mutual respect for others roles.
• Participates in department and clinic staff meetings as requested.
• Participates in professional development and educational activities.
• Maintains patient confidentiality. Specialized Responsibilities: Performance Requirements:
• Knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of physical therapy to provide appropriate care to the patient.
• Knowledge of standards, equipment, and safety requirements related to the field.
• Skilled in tracking and maintaining patient records and treatment plans.
• Ability to establish positive/open relationships with patients, physicians, staff and the public Non-Essential Duties: Other duties as assigned within scope of practice Education/Experience/Certifications:
• High School diploma or GED
• Working knowledge of medical terminology
• Basic computer skills Typical Working Conditions: Combination of medical office and treatment rooms. Exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions common to a clinic setting. Typical Physical Demands: Extensive physical activities including walking, standing, lifting, bending, twisting, and stooping. Requires ability to safely transport / transfer patients using variety of equipment. Must have eye-hand coordination. Occasional stress from multiple demands. Vision must be correctable to 20/30 and hearing must be in the normal range.
• Required to boost patients up (up to 50lbs of push force).
• Push patients in wheelchairs up to 75lbs of force.
