Intensive Care Unit for a nursing job in Marinette, Wisconsin. Job

emergency department care. Aurora Bay Area's Paramedic program is
based out of our emergency department and personnel work alongside
our physicians and nurses. Provide continuing patient care from the
field, through ED arrival to discharge. A career as a Paramedic at

more than 6,000 annual calls, serving patients in a 500 square mile
radius, you'll also learn advanced assessments and how treatments
work to sharpen your skills as a Paramedic, administer more
advanced medications, learn lab values, CTs, X-rays and more.
Partner with doctors, nurses, imaging techs and other team members
to truly care for our patients. Respond to 911 calls and Paramedic
intercept to provide advance pre-hospital care in our two Paramedic
system with comprehensive orientation. Our critical care program
provides Paramedics with additional education within the first few
years of hire to transport our most critical patients to higher
levels of care across the region. Major Responsibilities: Provides
basic, advanced, and critical care of the ambulance patient as well
as critical care level treatments, procedures and medications on
interfacility transports to include interventions expanded beyond
the Paramedic scope of practice in treating our most critically
ill/injured patients. Administers critical care level treatments
such as ventilator management, blood product administration,
fibrinolytic therapy, care of patients requiring multiple IV
infusions, external pacemaker management, and additional
interventions as required by the State of Wisconsin EMS scope of
practice. Oversees the overall patient care and manages CCT-level
interventions when working with a Paramedic partner. Helps to
ensure the availability of a Paramedic with CCT credentials as
needed during shifts where multiple interfacility transfers occur
and responds promptly when on-call and a need for a CCT Paramedic
arises. Operates ambulance vehicles using safe driving practice.
Performs quality control checks of ambulance equipment and
vehicles. Maintains cleanliness of equipment, work area, and
vehicles following department safety policies and standard
precautions. Monitors equipment and troubleshoots minor problems.
Arranges for repair of major malfunctions. Communicates and
delegates effectively in the field. Conveys pertinent information
regarding patient to the healthcare team and concerns to the
Ambulance Manager. Ensures prompt, accurate documentation of
patient incidents. Maintains accountability of all medications and
accurately documents use, waste, and custody of medications. Under
the direction of the RN, provides assistance in emergencies,
prepares and administers medications. Notifies department RN or
physician immediately of changes in patient condition. Documents
information/procedures and promptly communicates observations,
concerns and needs of the patient to the Registered Nurse (RN).
Collaborates with physicians to support communications required to
facilitate patient care. Coordinates and facilitates all forms of
communications (phone, verbal, paging, electronic, fax and
emergency medical services (EMS) system). Processes daily patient
charges and/or related procedure through the electronic health
record (EHR). Supports and reinforces RN/physician and
patient/family teaching and evaluates learning, documenting in the
medical record as appropriate. Performs various patient positioning
and transporting duties, which require lifting and pushing/pulling,
while utilizing proper technique. Must be able to demonstrate
knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the
age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the
principles of growth and development over the life span and possess
the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and
interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each
patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and
to provide the care needed as described in the department's
policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed
further in the departmental job standards. Licensure, Registration,
and/or Certification Required: A valid drivers license issued by
the Division of Motor Vehicles, and National Registry of Emergency
Medical Technicians-Basic (NREMT-Basic) certification issued by the
National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT), or
Critical Care Paramedic Certified (CCP-C) certification issued by
the Board for Critical Care Transport Paramedic Certification
(BCCTPC), or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Paramedic issued by
the State of Wisconsin and State of Michigan needs to be obtained
within 30 days, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), and
Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) issued by the
American Heart Association (AHA), and Basic Life Support (BLS) for
Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart
Association (AHA), and CPR/AED for professional rescuers and health
care providers certification issued by the American Red Cross.
Education Required: Completion of an accredited or approved program
in Emergency Medical Services. Experience Required: Typically
requires 1 year of experience in in a paramedic role or appropriate
related clinical experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Required: Must possess and maintain a clean driving record as
evidenced with no exclusions listed under insurance contract.
Completion of Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) or other
courses as appropriate, may be completed in place of Pediatric
Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American
Heart Association (AHA). Basic computer skills and ability to work
with electronic health record (HER) systems. Excellent
interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
with physicians, staff, patients and their families. Must maintain
skill and certification as required by regulation and organization.
Ability to effectively manage time and priorities. High level of
attention to detail. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, bend, squat, reach above
shoulders, and twist frequently during work shift. Must be able to:
Lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist. Lift up to 20 lbs. over the
head. Carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance. Must be able to:
Push/pull with 30 lbs. of force. Perform a sliding transfer of 150
lbs. with a second person present. Will be required to use foot
pedals on carts or machines. Will be exposed to the following
hazards on a continuous basis: mechanical, electrical, chemical,
radiation, and blood and body fluids. This job description
