Provide work direction with clear responsibility for the coordination of resources to efficiently support day-to-day operations and the smooth flow of patients through the clinicOversee staff activities to provide a consistent patient experienceEnsure clinic is staffed appropriately for hours of operation to meet the needs of patients and providersFill in for Dental Services Representatives or Dental Assistants to account for absenteeism or high-volume periodsCoordinate the needs of doctors and serve as liaison between doctors and support staff to mediate and solve problem as necessaryResolve patient concerns, complaints and issues to promote patient excellence and staff engagementIn collaboration and with direction from the Practice Manager prepare annual business plans and related strategies; participate in the development of the annual budgetManage the sterilization area ensuring the testing of the equipment is performed and logged, reporting failed test results to the Practice ManagerAct as a change agent for continuous improvement results, utilizing lean principals and toolsEnsure staff and patient safety is maintained at all times following OSHA, CDC and HIPAA guidelinesJob RequirementsClinical experience in dental (dental assisting or hygiene) required3 years of experience in a multi-department supervisory role within healthcare preferredMinimum 5 years DA or RDH experience strongly preferredGeneral knowledge of dental terminology and dental assisting practices strongly preferredDemonstrated coaching and counseling skills with ability to supervise large number of staff in a fast-paced unpredictable environmentAbility to successfully collaborate with a variety of internal clients, identify problems and offer solutionsExcellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
