Job Description PS Companies is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 08/25/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel PS Companies is seeking an experienced Med Surg RN for an opening based in Wausau, WI. This is a full time 13 week travel contract position Shift Requirements: 12 hour nights. Fri-Mon Float to all inpatient units; would be given appropriate patient assignments . Unit Overview (Patient ratio, etc.): Nurse to pt ratio: day/pm 1:4 or 5, nights 1:5- 7 Fast paced post-surgical unit that averages 10-15 admissions per day with the highest occurring on Day/PM. Occupancy of unit is90-95 % during the week with average length of stay 2 – 3 days (except joints). RN must have ability to multi task and prioritize patient care needs based on acuity and work as a team. Requirements include, but are not limited to: Active WI or Compact License. 2 years of Med Surg experience Trauma Level II experience Travel experience preferred BLS (AHA) Certification Ability to clear a drug screen/background check.
