Job Description:
Ascension is seeking a dedicated and skilled RN-Step-down IMC
Progressive Surgical to join our faith-based healthcare
organization. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in
providing advanced nursing care for patients who are recovering
from serious medical conditions or surgical procedures in our
innovative Intermediate Care (IMC) unit. Ascension is committed to
transforming healthcare through innovation and providing
compassionate, personalized care. As part of our team, you will
play a key role in supporting patients in a progressive step-down
environment, where the focus is on promoting recovery and
preventing complications. Monitor and assess the condition of
patients who have experienced serious medical events or surgeries,
adjusting care plans as necessary. Collaborate with healthcare
professionals to implement effective treatment strategies in our
IMC. Educate patients and their families on disease management,
prevention, and post-hospital care. Administer medications and
treatments accurately and monitor responses. Uphold high standards
of nursing care and practice as per the guidelines set by the
healthcare organization and nursing board. Proficient in using
medical software for patient care management. Able to effectively
monitor patient vital signs and quickly identify signs of distress
or complications. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to
deal with a diverse range of patients and colleagues. Skilled in
providing education and support to patients and families. Medical

Valid RN license in the state of employment. BLS/ACLS
certification.
