nurse RN DOU - Direct Observation Unit for a travel nursing job in
Wausau, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: DOU

- Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days,
nights, flexible - Employment Type: Travel Estimated Gross Weekly
Pay: $2556.00 /n/n Opportunity: /n RN - Observation Unit /n/n Job
Details: /n • Work 12-hour day/night variable shifts in an 8-bed
observation unit /n• 48 guaranteed hours per week with overtime
after 48 hours worked /n• Patient ratio of 1:4 /n• Float to all
inpatient units as needed including IMC and CTU units /n• Every
other weekend and every other holiday schedule required /n• Can be
low censused and placed on call with 2-hour minimum callback pay
/n• 36 hours of low census unbillable hours available per contract
/n• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, ACLS /n•
NIHSS highly preferred /n• Must complete EKG exam during compliance
/n• Minimum 3 years experience and 1 travel assignment required /n•
EPIC charting experience required /n• Care for patients with
anemia, cellulitis, COPD, dehydration, pre/post-op urology and GI
cases /n• Manage cardiac drips including Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin,
and Heparin /n• Handle high volume of admissions and discharges
with average patient stays up to 48 hours /n• Must be able to read
and interpret cardiac strips /n• Any color scrubs permitted /n•
Must live outside 50-mile radius from facility /n• During flu
season, unvaccinated travelers must wear masks at all times per
