Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 05/18/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: /n RN - Med Surg /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 12-hour variable day/night shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) /n• 36 guaranteed hours per week over 13-week contract /n• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required /n• Float to all inpatient units as needed /n• Subject to low census and on-call status with 2-hour minimum call back /n• Minimum 2 years Med Surg experience with recent hospital experience required /n• Trauma level II experience and prior travel experience required /n• Epic charting experience mandatory /n• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC) /n• Work with Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps /n• Nurse-to-patient ratio: days/evenings 1:4-5, nights 1:5-7 /n• Handle 10-15 admissions per day in fast-paced environment /n• Provide pre and post-surgical care for adult and geriatric patients /n• Must demonstrate ability to multitask, prioritize patient care, and work as team member /n• Any color scrubs permitted /n• Associate Degree or Certificate required, Bachelor's Degree preferred /n• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare organization operates a 40-bed Post Surgical Care Unit that provides comprehensive care for pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients. The unit maintains high occupancy rates of 90-95% during the week with an average length of stay of 2-3 days.
