Position Title: Logistics Planner Wage: $22.50/Hour Shift: 1st Shift Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday - Friday Reached a dead end at your current job? Logistics Planner Responsibilities: - Planning and coordinating transport for in-bound/out-bound deliveries of raw materials, ingredients, packaging supplies, customer deliveries, and other items used in the manufacturing process - Analyzing and optimizing the selection of transportation mode and specific carriers based on cost, transit time, equipment availability, etc. - Receiving product into outside storage facilities through JDE - Resolving freight delays, carrier problems, customer inquiries, or vendor issues; escalating risks or opportunities as appropriate - Complying with all company, safety, HACCP, and GMP policies - Reporting any food safety or quality issues to management or other authorized individuals Requirements For Logistics Planner: - High school diploma or equivalent required; 1 years of related experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation preferred - Understanding of logistics concepts, planning tools and software - Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes - Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office - Strong math, reading, comprehension, and communication skills - Ability to lift/move 10 pounds - Critical thinking and decision-making abilities - JDE and TMS experience preferred QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
