Double J Transport, a distinguished leader in the transportation and logistics industry based in Jackson, Wisconsin, is seeking experienced CDL A OTR Truck Drivers to join our team. Driving a DRY VAN, the selected candidates will be pivotal in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods across the United States, leveraging our modern and well-maintained fleet. This role is suited for individuals who are committed to safety, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and have a proven track record of driving long distances. Operate a DRY VAN safely and efficiently to transport goods across interstate routes. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules. Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions. Collect and verify delivery instructions. Report defects, accidents or violations. Proven work experience as a truck driver. Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.). Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). No recent moving or driving violations. Passed DOT physical exam and drug and alcohol test.
