Tasks to be performed when staff RN is assigned to Charge
function on a given shift: Individual assigned to charge is
responsible to assess, plan, direct and evaluate the delivery of
care to all patients in the following areas: Demonstrates ability

care provided on assigned shift and identifies problems with
recommendations for improvement. Directs/supervises others in the
planning of patient care. Notifies appropriate personnel of
admissions to patient care unit from Emergency Department.
Effectively directs staff during any emergency situations.
Minimum Education Graduate of a school of nursing. Current
license to practice as an RN in the State of Michigan. Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
