SummaryThis position is responsible for implementation and follow
through of established supply and replenishment procedures of
medical supplies and their delivery to patients and patient care
staff. This position also assists with overall maintenance and
appearance of Unitys buildings and grounds.Reports toPurchasing
ManagerQualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Wisconsin Drivers License, reliable transportation, and
proof of current automobile insurance coverage
- Related experience in medical supplies and/or maintenance
duties
- Experience using technology, to include: Microsoft office
products, online ordering, pulling reports and assessing data for

- Replenish medical supplies as needed in various locations
including workstations and nursing facilities
- Fill and deliver supply request orders in a timely fashion
- Monitor inventory of existing supplies and reorder as needed.
Trouble shoot and locate products that are on back-order or
delayed.
- Maintain and organize supply room and Meng Residence supply
stock
- Ensure supply totes are provided for all new employees
- Update vendor data and orders with:
- New admissions and discharges to allow for smooth processing of
direct mail orders from patient care staff.
- Changes to formulary and linking of new items
- Review and approve/deny patient care staff orders that are
escalated outside of standard criteria.
- Apply quality checks on medical supply materials
- Clean and monitor Unity-owned durable medical equipment (i.e.
PT/INR, Dremel, otoscope, lock boxes, etc.)
- Control of medical supply costs by working with multiple
vendors to ensure Unity is receiving the best price possible for
quality supplies.
- Verify that supply orders are received correctly and expense
allocation of invoices.
- Monitor supplies for expiration dates and rotate stock as
needed
- Maintain and keep current SDS sheets for all required
products.
- Maintain record of high-cost supplies, OSHA supplies, or
specialty supplies for reporting and trending purposes
- Teach monthly Supply Orientation class to all new
employees
- Provide reports and supply trends as requestedFacility
Maintenance
- Participate in visits to workstations and contracted facilities
to deliver supplies, maintain cleanliness of workstation offices,
monitor forms needed and assist with other duties as requested
- Set up and take down of tables and chairs for meetings.
Preparation of other room needs including extra garbage cans, ice,
tubs, etc. Clean up of the room when days event in completed.
- Ensure oxygen supply is maintained at the Meng Residence at all
times.
- Deliver and pickup Print Shop orders and US Mail.
- Ensure drinking water, copy paper, toner, cleaning supplies,
and toiletries are fully stocked in all areas of the Administrative
Building.
- Provide assistance with snow removal as outlined in Unitys snow
removal policy.
- Assist in other maintenance duties as requested by the Facility
Manager and leadership.
- Participate in the maintenance on-call shift rotation (one full
week per month: 5pm-7am weekdays, plus the weekend)General
- Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and
regulations as well as policies and procedures of Unity
- Satisfy mandatory training requirements regarding local, state,
and federal regulations and/or Unitys policies and procedures

Physical/Environmental/Technical Skills:Employees must have the
ability to; operate computers, telephones, and other office
equipment, communicate both verbally and in writing. Employee must
be able to sit for prolonged periods of time on equipment such as
lawn mowers and lawn tractors as required by position. Employees
must have the ability to stand and walk for an extended period of
time (including use of push lawn mowers), bend and lift up to 50
pounds on occasion, organize and prioritize tasks. Employees must
be able to work in the outdoor elements in a varying degree of
temperatures. Employees must be able to transition between indoor
and outdoor work.Exposure to Hazards:In the course of duties there
may be a risk of occupational exposure. An occupational exposure
defined by OSHA is reasonable anticipated skin, eye, mucous
membrane, nonimpact skin, or parental contact with blood and other
potentially infectious material that may result from the
performance of an employees duties. This may also include other
potentially hazardous materials.Personal Protective Equipment
(PPE):PPE is one measure available to all employees to help reduce
the risk of contracting blood borne illnesses and other diseases.
It is the employees duty to assess the need for PPEs and the
appropriate kind to be used. Furthermore, it is the employees
responsibility to wear and use the PPE that has been made
