Hoffmaster Group Inc, an industry leader producing the most complete line of specialty disposable tabletop products for over 70 years, is seeking a Sophomore - Senior level college student for a Manufacturing Process Support Internship for the 2022 / 2023 school year. - This position will be based out of our Corporate office in Oshkosh, with travel to our other WI manufacturing sites. - Hoffmaster competes in three distinct business segments - Foodservice, Consumer, and E-Commerce. Our products can be found in thousands of retailers, restaurants, hotels, and more. This position works in partnership with the Continuous Improvement, Supply Chain and Plant Management team to identify & lead performance improvement through lean initiatives, effective problem-solving , and continuous improvement activities. - -
Essential Job Duties:
The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however, it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Work directly with the CI Director, operations manager, and other plant functional leaders to coordinate and assist with improvement initiatives resulting in quality, throughput, cost, and profit opportunities
  • Assist in the development of projects, writing of capital expenses and implementing changes where the project relates to Lean Thinking and specific machines, etc.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure employees are engaged during the Lean journey
  • Provide lean employee training and facilitate correct use of lean tools
  • Follow and Maintain all Food Safety, GMP and HACCP Guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

    Requirements:

    • Excellent abilities to prioritize and handle multiple projects
    • Ability to recognize improvement opportunities
    • High level of interpersonal, written, verbal communication/ influence skills, excellent presentation skills
    • Ability to perform with minimal supervision and direction
    • Ability to deliver effective presentations
    • Organizational and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work well on a team
    • Proven skill in projecting confidence, working collaboratively and engendering trust

    • Working towards Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related degree. - Jr. or Sr. preferred

    • Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift when necessary, occasional travel to other sites may be required
