Human Resources Intern - Summer 2023

As the Human Resources Intern, you'll be responsible forassisting the Human Resources Department with a wide range of projects related to Talent Acquisition, Family Medical Leave administration, employee record keeping, and other human resources related functions.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Assist the Talent Acquisition Team with recruiting initiatives and social media campaigns.
  • Assist the Compensation and Benefits Manager with company benefit programs including wellness initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Manager and Corporate Communications / Graphic Arts Coordinator with social media content planning, development, and execution to promote the Employer Brand.
  • Assist with organizing and distributing Family Medical Leave paperwork to staff and maintaining tracking records as needed.
  • Assist with scanning personnel documents into the HRIS system.
  • Assist in the orientation process of new employees and learn how to process and complete appropriate onboarding documentation.
  • Assist Human Resources Department with other administrative and/or human resources tasks as needed.

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program with an emphasis in Human Resources Management.
  • Some experience working in an office or administrative setting is preferred.
  • Requires a high level of confidentiality.
  • Requires excellent interpersonal skills to frequently deal with job candidates, employees, management and the general public.
  • Must have good mathematical and analytical skills, problem solving ability, and accuracy.
  • Good typing skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook & Office products.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance to maintain adequate staffing levels and meet customer commitments is required.
