Job Details This position is also offering remote/virtual work
opportunitiesWhat you will doAs the Regulatory Affairs Specialist
you will develop, implement, and sustain proactive regulatory
information tracking programs to ensure products meet domestic,
international product chemical control law, and regulatory
requirements. You will provide guidance and direction to new
product introduction teams for hardware and chemical agents as it
relates to regulatory, product safety, and product stewardship
requirements.How you will do itCoordinate the administration of all
product-related federal, state, and local regulationsAccelerate
product development efforts by providing expertise and insight into
new product projectsProactively assess the regulatory, product
safety and customer-driven product stewardship related
criteriaDocument and communicate potential impacts and risk
mitigation strategies to ensure a high probability of project
success.Maintain relationships with materials vendors in order to
quickly gather regulatory information to ensure products are within
applicable domestic and international regulations.Work with the
team to develop and sustain internal regulatory/product stewardship
stage gate review criteria for new product introductions or
sustaining product projects.Actively follow proposed regulatory
changes related to Johnson Controls' products and assess impacts of
these changes to current and future products or fluence the various
business functions to ensure proper consideration and training of
regulatory and product stewardship principlesWhat we look
forRequired:Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology or closely
related technical science field3-5+ years professional experience
related to regulatory affairs, product safety or product
stewardshipWorking knowledge and understanding of product
sustainability concepts including hazard assessment, Life Cycle
Analysis, 'green chemistry' and product environmental impact
analysis for new product introduction and sustaining product
assessmentsFoundational understanding of safety data sheets for
interpretation and application in decision-making processesHighly
adept at software office applications (Word, Excel Etc.) and have
the confidence to administer HAZCOM or other PSRA software
applications when applicableWhere legally permissible, if hired,
candidate is required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 no
later than his/her start date, unless candidate has a valid medical
condition or sincerely held religious belief precluding him/her
from receiving the vaccinePreferred:Master's degree in Chemistry,
Biology, or another related technical/scientific field (not
required but preferred)Preferred experience with TSCA, REACH
Registration, REACH SVHC, CPSC, PROP65, RoHS, DSL, NDSL, SCIP,
Green Screen or other global chemical control law and product
