Job Description:

Performs complex operations support and service duties within guidelines. Provides support for commercial lines by handling a variety of tasks that support the quote, processing and issuance of new or renewal commercial lines business and service to existing accounts.

Role can be staffed in multiple business units; internal/external contacts and certain duties may vary based on business unit.At Sentry, we recognize how important our support associates are to the overall success of our company. From underwriting to sales, your interactions with internal and external customers will be crucial for the success of our team. More specifically, here are a few examples of what you'll do:

  • Communicate and provide operations support effectively with internal and external contacts which may include underwriting, account specialists, account managers, customers, and third-party contacts
  • Work with account specialists and account managers to review and complete applications, while ensuring the application is fully finalized for analysis and proper underwriting
  • Communicate directly with the customers to gather information and enter quotes into our systems on behalf of the account managers
  • Use problem-solving skills and best judgment to work with internal business units to resolve problems and provide insight about service
  • Learn our billing and premium audit processes while staying in line with Sentry's underwriting guidelines
  • Handle customer calls, emails, and faxes regarding service needs while staying current on procedures and policiesWhat it Takes
    • Associate degree or equivalent work experience
    • 1-3 years of related work experience
    • Previous or comparable commercial lines experience with another company preferred
    • Excellent communication skills to handle day-to-day telephone calls received from account specialists, account managers, customers and third-party contacts
    • Knowledge of software applications, systems, processes and procedures used by the business unit
    • Knowledge of Sentry Insurance, its business operations, and products are a plusWhat You'll Receive
