Sentry insurance is seeking a highly-skilled and experienced commercial lines products professional to support the strategic operations of Sentry's Business Products. This subject matter expert will do market research, competitor analysis and develop products that will support Sentry's business strategy, to meet annual growth and profitability objectives.What You'll Do

• Act as the subject matter expert and owner for issues relating to product development, underwriting, growth and profitability for assigned lines of business.
• Work with your business partners to develop new products and plans that enhance existing products which support Sentry's business strategy.
• Analyze and research new and current products to determine product success and failures.
• Maintain knowledge of current market trends, including competitor activity.
• Maintains knowledge of competitor rate and product changes, compliance issues and legislative regulations.
• May identify products requiring risk transfer alternatives (reinsurers).
• Works with business partners on new computer system development and implementation.
• Collaborate with business partners in actuarial, claims, underwriting, IT and Analytics to develop coverage solutions.What it Takes
  • Bachelor's Degree with 8 plus years of related work experience.is preferred
  • Underwriting experience and an understanding of IT is essential.
  • Demonstrated technical insurance background in the particular field of specialization.
  • Knowledge of marketing techniques, trends, and concepts while knowing Sentry's systems, procedures, and distribution systems preferred.
