  • Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
  • Design structural components
  • Produce individual designs and final layouts for wall, roof and floor systems
  • Provide engineering support to customers when needed
  • Make jobsite visits to take measurements
  • Resolve architectural and design discrepancies if they arise
  • On occasion Truss Designers, meet with customers to review plans and answer any questions they may have
  • Prepares prints for manufacturing and release to production plant
  • Prepares prints for outside customers
  • Enters data into MiTek, design software for manufacturing
  • Truss Designers assist with other tasks as needed.

    • Must be resourceful & organized
    • Have a natural sense of urgency
    • Proficient computer skills and be cool with sitting at a computer most of the day

    • Be team focused and able to fill gaps to ensure overall team success
