The company embraces its Wisconsin roots and is committed to providing support to the local communities it serves.OBJECTIVE: Deliver construction ready projects that meet company objectives by participating from project conception through planning, entitlement, and approval phases.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manages utility, street and stormwater planning and construction phasing for projects in development.
  • Collaborates across departments and with development team members throughout the process.
  • Coordinates with vendors, consultants and professional service providers for land evaluation, due diligence and planning.
  • Prepares preliminary budgets and construction schedules.
  • Participates in meetings with municipal staff, councils, commissions and stakeholders.
  • Reviews plans and deliverables for completeness and accuracy.
  • Assists with preparation and submittal for approvals.
  • Manages the project handover process with the Construction team.
  • Ensures project compliance with SCS development and construction standards as well as regulatory and environmental requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEREQUIRED:
    • 3+ years of Construction experience
    • Ability to read and understand building and site plans.
    • Understanding of all building codes and resources to ensure all codes are met.
    • Professional writing and verbal communication skills.
    • Must be able to represent the company in a professional and positive manner.
    • Comfortable presenting in a public setting.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft applications.
    • Excellent problem-solving, negotiating and decision-making skills.PREFERRED:
      • Advanced degree in construction management, urban planning, or civil engineering.
      • Clear understanding of development processes and procedures, development timelines, and the stakeholders involved in successful project development.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
        • Ability to sit and stand for 8 - 10 hours daily while using a computer.
        • Ability to move safely over undeveloped land, uneven terrain, and construction sites.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to dress professionally for public events and meetings.WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position operates in a professional setting during normal business hours of Monday to Friday with regular travel to project sites and evening meetings as business necessitates.OTHER DUTIES: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
