Job Description:
Under the direction of the Department Manager, the Janitor is
responsible for performing the duties described below to ensure the
achievement of production objectives consistent with company
quality standards and customer delivery requirements. The Janitor
will act in a manner that is consistent with Gordon Aluminum's
Customer 1 st Philosophy.Essential Duties and Responsibilities This
list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be
expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as
management may deem necessary from time to time. The general
purpose of the Janitor is to maintain the cleanliness of the
facilities:
- Perform a variety of custodial, maintenance, and janitorial
assignments to keep building and grounds in good and orderly
repair.
- Keeps internal plant, buildings and grounds in clean and
orderly condition, performing combination of sweeping, mopping,
scrubbing, painting, mowing, operation of yard equipment, etc.
- Performs general housekeeping duties such as running power
sweeper, rest room clean-up, office cleaning, trash collection,
washing walls, etc.
- Mows lawn to maintain a neat and well groomed place of
business.
- Participates in the Continuous Improvement Program (CIP) by
contributing ideas for improving safety, quality, and/or
productivity. Recommends solutions to ongoing issues
- Takes the initiative, promptly seeking his or her next task
requiring minimal supervision.
- Demonstrates continuous improvement to reach goals and raise
the bar.
- Ensures proper maintenance to maintain plant housekeeping
standards.
- Participates in the Performance Evaluation Process by fully
engaging in discussion with supervisor about performance.
Demonstrates competency by achieving a satisfactory rating.In

regulations.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small
group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the

standardized situations. Physical DemandsThe physical demands

of this position, the employee is frequently exposed to work near
moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to work near wet
or humid conditions (non-weather).The noise level in typically loud
in this work environment. Hearing protection is required. Employee
is expected to wear the required personal protective equipment when
