Job Description:

The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs duties to repair, maintain, or clean equipment, building, and facilities, requiring a broad knowledge of maintenance skills including, but not limited to, mechanical repair, plumbing, heating and cooling and electrical repair. The ideal candidate will have good time management and organization skills along with mechanical aptitude.1. Maintains all public and private spaces to company standards. Performs janitorial duties for the site.2. Ensures reliability and punctuality with a dedicated professionalism to job and duties.3. Supports and actively participates in all safety initiatives related to site function.4. Demonstrates full competency with all maintenance tasks. Electrical knowledge is basic, mechanical aptitude advanced, light industrial background.5. Helps to create/maintain schedules for the department.6. Installs, repairs, rebuilds and maintains mechanical equipment to ensure the maximum up time of laboratory activities.7. Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and operating difficulties and makes repairs or adjustments as needed.8. Relocates and installs existing equipment including dismantling, assembling, leveling, fitting, and aligning operations.9. Ensures proper maintenance documentation is complete and readily available.10. Forklift train the trainer certified is a plus but not necessary.
