We currently have an opening for Maintenance Technician, Electro-Mechanical (EM) at our Presto Products manufacturing plant in Weyauwega, WI.

Job Description:

As a Maintenance Technician, Electro-Mechanical (EM) you will be responsible for providing shift maintenance support to keep all production lines and supporting process equipment running for needed levels of availability, capacity, and reliability. The successful candidate is self-driven, with the passion to deliver service excellence in support of plant performance objectives for safety, quality, cost, and service.

Responsibilities:

Work safely, in a manner that protects and promotes the health and well-being of the individual, fellow employees, and the environment.
Understand and apply safe electrical and mechanical operating procedures, consistent with industry standards and company safety policies at all times.
Perform mechanical and advanced electrical troubleshooting (e.g. PLC, SCADA, complex motor/drive and control systems), service and repair of production lines, and all supporting equipment.
Focus on proactive maintenance, and solving to root cause. Utilize "help-chain" when required, and coordinate necessary resources to ensure robust solutions are implemented.
Make value judgments regarding equipment repair or replacement costs.
Engage outside resources and procure information as necessary to service or repair equipment.
Become trained in Emergency Response and an active Emergency Response Team member.
Comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) programs to ensure products meet the requirements for safe packaging of food products and report food safety concerns to those with authority to take action.
Ability to work overtime as needed, and provide coverage for opposite Shift EM's Vacation / LOA's as required.

We Need You to Have:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Associates Degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology, or similar Certified Technical Training required
Knowledge of AC and DC motors/drives, PLC's, and SCADA systems
Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical power transmission components and systems
Ability to operate basic hand tools, and maintenance shop equipment
Ability to work on elevated platforms and equipment when necessary, with proper safety provisions
Icing on the cake:

Advanced troubleshooting skills to repair complex electrical and mechanical devices and systems
Experience in a previous manufacturing facility, with knowledge of plastics extrusion is a plus
Working knowledge of National Electric Code, and ability to read electrical and mechanical prints

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 3 Years related work experience in Electrical Maintenance or similar role
Formal education (certificates, diploma, etc.) in Electrical principles required
Knowledge of AC and DC motors/drives, PLC's, and SCADA systems
Working knowledge of National Electric Code, and ability to read electrical prints
Willingness to learn through on the job shadowing, and classes (if needed) to build skills required for role
Self-driven, with ability to work individually, or as part of a team
Ability to operate basic hand tools, and basic maintenance shop equipment. Advanced skills not required.
Ability to work on elevated platforms and equipment when necessary, with proper safety provisions
Basic working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel
Good Safety, Behavior, and Attendance Record
