Responsibilities: These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • The Digital Manufacturing Data Science, Architecture & Analytics Leader. works across the organization to develop enterprise standards for K-C manufacturing facilities digital architecture, automated data visibility, reporting/dashboards, build tools/capabilities to drive a data-driven analytics culture and actionable insights throughout the organization, and perform analysis that our various stakeholders (from mill teams to senior leaders) will use to make decisions to improve our operational performance. They oversee creating data management systems based on the requirement of the company. They work hand in hand with AI/ML engineers and information technology professionals to create these systems.
  • Anticipate and forecast business needs for the data analytics tools under his/her responsibilities
  • Lead customers and partners expectations for data analytics products. Communicate effectively with partners (Global Process Owners, SME, ...) to validate business requirements and define data analytics acceptance criteria's
  • Steer K-C global manufacturing teams to build, improve and lead data analytics manufacturing's processes, systems and capabilities
  • Owns End-to-End lifecycle of Data Analytics Manufacturing tools/products
  • Data Management: Support the definition of the relevant manufacturing terms and data definitions, data lifecycle and retention requirements for Manufacturing
  • Works closely with IT/DTS Enterprise Analytics and Data (EAD) team to establish the data model and definitions
  • Support data model and definitions standardization across functional business processes and digital solutions
  • Data Quality, Synchronization, Improvement & Compliance
  • Partner with the Supply Chain DTS business partner and DTS IT Mfg Capability Leader to develop data technology analytic solutions and tools for precision manufacturing.

    Expectations and Accountabilities:

    Design/build analytics tools and capabilities for mill, regional, and global teams to transform data into actionable insights. Establish enterprise standards for manufacturing reporting and dashboards for local, regional, and global review using data from GE Proficy, OSI Pi Historian, and SAP. Develop global reporting requirements for MES, and provide prioritization of design elements to IT. Design and prepare manufacturing KPIs reports to effectively communicate findings to organizational leadership and key stakeholders. Partner with Digital Manufacturing Change Management and Communications Leads to develop necessary training programs and communications plans for reports/tools as they roll out across the globe. Support manufacturing data analytics for key global manufacturing initiatives/projects as needed. Value identification using insights from loss analytics data Have a strong understanding of business and technical architecture to efficiently identify and prioritize opportunities of application of data science. Lead initiatives to benchmark and research new data solutions and practices internally and externally to improve the strength and performance of our Manufacturing discipline. Manage and execute a portfolio of projects including cross-functional management, design, development, modeling, testing of proposed solutions

    Scope:

    This position functions as an important Digital Manufacturing function by providing data driven innovative solutions for all operations worldwide. The individual must be able to influence and partner with the manufacturing leaders and other connected functional teams to deliver tools and processes that improve performance and cost. Lead development of the manufacturing mill data architecture framework in support of the technology innovation requirements. Lastly, the position has responsibility for leading and coaching the global manufacturing functional resources in data analytics and use of information from the acquired data and reports for insights and action planning for continuous improvement.

    Competencies/ Skills & Requirements:
    • Strong experience in Manufacturing environment and in deploying data analytics solutions!
    • Very good experience/knowledge in data analytics tools (descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, prescriptive, and Digital Twin) and/or machine learning/artificial intelligence techniques in manufacturing environment
    • Good Manufacturing Processes Knowledge
    • Change management experience (Change Agent level)
    • Good understanding of the manufacturing digital transformation trends
    • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
    • Cyber security / information security knowledge (preferred)
    • Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence (preferred)
    • Data scientist experience preferred
    • Phyton or other machine learning programming languages (preferred)
    • Knowledge of PMI Manufacturing Data Analytics Systems (SPA/PPA, OI Analytics OptimistiK, ..) (preferred)

      Qualifications/Education/Experience Required:
      • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Data Sciences, Engineering /Computer science and/or Data Management
      • Big Data Analytics certification or equivalent experience
      • Lean Six Sigma Certification (preferred)
      • Agile certification (preferred)
      • Project/Program Management certification (preferred)
      • Digital Manufacturing data management experience as definition and administration
      • Digital Manufacturing experience
      • Data management concepts (MES, ISA S95, data architecture and model, ...)
      • Manufacturing KPI management
      • Data collection for shop floor data collection
      • Data Structuration, Big Data, Business Intelligence (BI tools), Microstrategy, Microsoft Power BI, cloud storage
      • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain and/or Information technology, facilitating the development and implementation of business initiatives and projects, based on management objectives
      • Understanding of the CPG industry and how to use change management best practices, disciplines, and technology to achieve business objectives
      • Corporate or consulting experience preferred
      • Functional knowledge of manufacturing operations - including but not limited to the following functions: planning/forecasting, supply management, procurement, sales and operations planning, engineering, production scheduling, maintenance, production controls, quality control, inventory management, supply chain, warehouse and distribution
      • Track record of project delivery success that should include: System Implementation / Integration, cost savings, process improvement, production capacity improvement,
      • Strong functional knowledge of ERP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) with broad IT expertise in various disciplines (system development, infrastructure) and new technologies
      • Keen technical skills and demonstrable ability to assess needs, identify issues, recommend alternatives and implement and lead change
      • Experience in supplier management, Project Management, Waterfall and Agile methodologies
      • Strong analytical skills, demonstrated organizational and leadership skills, examples of effective teamwork, a track record of consistently meeting deadlines and due dates
      • Superb communication skills, written and verbal, utilizing a clear and concise manner across various levels of the organization

        • Excellent judgment, interpersonal skills, cultural awareness and professional maturity with executive presentation experience, comfortable interacting with senior executive leadership, lead, facilitate and manage change effectively
        • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
        • SAP experience preferred
