Job Description:

We are seeking Production Operators at our Mosinee, WI plant. This is an entry-level paper mill position. Production Operators (General Laborers/ Sparehands) provide support to multiple departments by performing physical labor tasks such as assisting and/or operating paper mill equipment, including a variety of material handling equipment and tools, obtaining supplies for operators, performing general clean up around paper machines and other moving equipment. Main Responsibilities:

* Must follow Ahlstrom-Munksj--'s manufacturing and hygiene processes, procedures and policies, as applicable to the position's areas of responsibility, in order to meet and maintain the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements for each grade of paper.
* Ability to work rotating shifts (no set shift, working when/where needed), including weekends, holidays, and nights; the paper mill is a 24/7 manufacturing operation. Could work a combination of day shift, afternoon shift, and overnight shift in any given week.
* Will be trained in several entry-level production positions in the paper mill, pulp mill, boiler room, wood yard, wastewater treatment plant, paper test lab, finishing, shipping, and/or chemical lab.
* Assist equipment operators as required with the ability to learn the next level job.
* Maintain a clean job site by cleaning up around paper-making equipment, picking up all tools and equipment each day in order to eliminate potential hazards.
* Haul and hoist materials using powered industrial trucks and cranes; load and unload material from machines.
* Apply safety standards/safety absolutes on a continuous basis.
* Assist with quality inspections.
* Basic data entry into the applicable computer systems.
* Participate in safety improvements throughout the facility; these include improving existing procedures, improving guarding, etc.

Education, Technical Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements:

* Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
* High school diploma or GED preferred
* Production or manufacturing experience with good mechanical aptitude preferred
* Previous shift work experience preferred
* Good mechanical aptitude
* Experience with data entry or operating computer programs preferred
* Previous military or farm experience a plus
* Must have a high regard for safety and teamwork
* Successful completion pre-employment testing, drug screen and physical assessment
* Work in a non-climate controlled environment (hot/humid to freezing temperatures depending on machinery working around and weather)
* Perform heavy work, defined as lifting 100 lb. maximum with help, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 75 lbs.
* Ability to stand/walk for 8 - 16 hours per day.
* Work around fast-moving machinery.
* Work at heights.
* Drive a lift-truck type vehicle.
